“If you’re considering a weight loss surgery, don’t be nervous,” shares Jabiel, our latest Success Story participant. “Listen to Dr. Clark, he’s got all the information. The Anchorage Bariatrics system is easy to follow; they have a really good program and educate patients very well. Just do everything they say and the weight will disappear. No need to go anywhere else!” ~Jabiel C.

Having weight loss surgery is a big decision and one that you’ve probably thought of as a last resort. There are many other ways to lose weight, and you may have tried them all – exercise, diets, medication, even the latest and greatest in-home gym equipment. Why don’t those work for everybody? Because our individual needs are unique. In order to know what works for you, you have to know your body first. Where is the problem coming from? Is it your eating habits? Sedentary lifestyle? Stress? Medical condition? Medication? All of the above?

Jabiel needed help narrowing down the reasons for his weight gain, and that’s exactly what we do. Jabiel said he had always been “the skinny kid growing up” and that he never had to worry about his eating habits until the weight crept up. He tried many things to lose weight but had no success until he met Dr. Clark and his team. He attended an informational session and later learned what works for him. Jabiel was so happy to have lost 40 pounds in his first six months and has reached his goal of almost 100 pounds lost!

We encourage you to attend an informational session to learn why your body may not respond to traditional weight loss methods and begin narrowing down what type of solution could work for you. Contact us for more information!

If you would like more information about how Anchorage Bariatrics can help you with a customized weight loss solution, or would like to attend a free informational seminar, please call us at 907-644-THIN.

Want Dessert? Dark Chocolate With Almonds

“Not only does dark chocolate taste delicious—it’s loaded with fiber, vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, and powerful antioxidants that help to fight infection and boost the immune system while potentially lowering blood pressure and bad cholesterol, too. Talk about a superfood! Add in a handful of almonds, and you have a true power couple. Almonds not only contain vitamin E, which nourishes the skin, they’re also rich in protein and magnesium as well. A serving a day can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, thereby reducing your risk of heart disease, the number-one cause of death in the U.S.”
